Why join Mixed Martial Arts?

Due to the huge variety of disciplines required within Mixed Martial Arts we hold 2 sessions a week, each one focusing on a certain ‘area’. For the first time we are also introducing a women’s only kickboxing class for one hour a week. The other sessions break down in to:

- Two hours of Brazillian Jujitsu
- One-and-a-half hours of Striking/ Standup (Kickboxing and Muay Thai) followed by One hour of MMA.

Within these sessions we not only focus on sparring but also give those members who do not want to be involved in one-on-one contact, the chance to boost their fitness, technique and strength through excercises and pad-work. We have a strong ethos on technique over strenth not only to prevent injury but also to improve the quality of fighters in the team, however opportunities will regularly be given for those who wish to spar in a competitive and productive way.

We have a variety of different memberships so you can make the most of the club, the fee will cover you for the entire semester and we hold attendance in high regard due to the fast- paced development of skills from week to week.

If you are interested in joining the Mixed Martial Arts society then please come along to one or all of our free taster sessions, the details of which will be available at the clubs and societies fair. We are excited to continue building a diverse and dedicated team and hope you will be a part of it!
